With a diverse level of vocal and instrumental performance experience, Matthew Terry brings a background in jazz, rhythm & blues, classical, music theatre, liturgical, and contemporary music to the Night Groove stage. Performing professionally for over 25 years in vocal and instrumental settings, Matt is competent in just about any style of contemporary and classical music.
Matt studied jazz instrumental and choral vocal performance at Arizona State University, and recently completed his 5th season with the Phoenix Symphony Chorus, as well as his second appearance as a featured soloist with Arizona Musicfest. Playing with various professional jazz big-band and contemporary combos since 1980, Matt is an accomplished performer on tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone as well as clarinet and flute. He teaches private woodwind instruction and resides with his wife and children in Mesa, AZ.
